Who We Are
Chizuk is a community-led mental and physical wellbeing charity working to fill the gaps that many individuals and families experience between everyday struggle and formal professional support.
Too often, people are expected either to manage alone or to wait until their difficulties become serious enough for crisis services. Others may find that existing provision is overstretched, difficult to access or does not fully understand their cultural and community context. Chizuk aims to create another way forward.
We bring together community knowledge, psychological understanding and professional expertise to create practical, culturally appropriate pathways towards stronger wellbeing. These may include peer groups, physical activity, parenting support, health education, life skills, advocacy, outreach and safe spaces for people to reflect and connect.
